Polite note pasted on car’s window by neighbour in Bengaluru surprises people

The city of Bengaluru is known as an IT hub and is often trending on social media detailing how tech-savvy the general population of the city is. In a post on Twitter, a man shared how he received a polite note from a neighbour requesting him not to park his car at his designated spot.

Subhasis Das, a techie, shared a photo of a note from his neighbour that was pasted on his car window. It said, “Hi, please don’t park your car here!! We had already requested you not to do so earlier. Please understand that we have been living in this area since year 2000, and own 2 cars. Hence, we need good amount of parking space. Please go back to your earlier parking spot. Let’s be good and supportive neighbours.” He had signed it off with “your neighbour”. Das shared that he found this in Koramangala, a neighbourhood in Bengaluru.

What surprised Das was the tone of the message as he wrote in another tweet, “I don’t think you’d find people communicating their concerns so politely elsewhere. Usually these things end in violence.”

“Bengaluru people are sweet,” commented a user. “Be a good neighbour,” wrote another. “If this had happened in Gurgaon, the neighbor might have already broken the windshield with a baseball bat,” suggested a third.
