While eggs are often added to coffee in countries like Vietnam and Sweden, they rarely make it to a cup of tea made with milk. Now, a video showing a woman making milk tea with an apple has surfaced.

In the video, the woman first caramelises the apple with tea and sugar. She then adds an egg to the mix and brings it to a boil. She then serves the drink as she pours it through the sieve.

A video of this special egg and fruit tea was posted on Facebook by Bangladeshi food vlogging account Sultana’s Cook. This video has 1.3 million views so far after it was posted on October 1.

In March last year, a similar video went viral from Surat. In the video, a streetside vendor is first seen boiling a pot full of milk. Just when people think he’ll be adding tea leaves next, he is seen breaking up a banana and throwing it into the pot.

As the milk continues to boil on the stove, he adds the tea leaves along with some other fruits as well. He finishes the fruit tea by boiling the concoction a little more before straining it to be served.

In September 2022, a clip shared online by Instagram page @thegreatindianfoodie, showed a tea seller in Bangladesh making the ‘dragon fruit chai’. The vendor first pours hot tea into a glass tumbler and then adds dragon fruit extract and a spoonful of condensed milk into it. The result was a piping hot pink-coloured tea.
