Delhi resturant's bill with a tribute message for Atul ShubashA restaurant in Delhi has found a unique and touching way to honour the memory of Atul Subhash, a Bengaluru-based man who allegedly died by suicide earlier this month. The message came to light after a Reddit user shared his friend’s experience when he went to the Jumboking outlet.
The user said his friend noticed a poignant message about Atul Subhash, with people paying tribute through candlelight vigils and heartfelt social media posts, printed at the bottom of the bill he received.
The message read: “We deeply mourn the suicide of the techie Atul Subhash. His life was just as important as everyone else’s. RIP brother. We hope you finally found peace on the other side.”
Moved by the message, the friend spoke with the outlet’s owner to understand the thought behind it. “Not everything is about business to us. That life was important. We can’t bring him back, but at least we can put in efforts to spread his name and keep him alive in our memories,” the owner told the user’s friend.
