During Bryan Adams’ concert in Mumbai on December 13, a distressing incident underscored poor event management when Sheldon Aranjo, a diabetes patient with incontinence issues, found himself in an embarrassing situation due to a severe lack of washroom facilities.

The event, promoted by Zomato and managed by EVA Global Events, drew over 1,000 attendees—but shockingly, only three toilets were available to accommodate the crowd.

Aranjo, a seasoned media and entertainment professional with over 20 years of experience, publicly voiced his frustration through a LinkedIn post. In his post, he shared a picture of his soiled pants and highlighted the challenges he faced that evening. “I PAID to PEE (in my pants) at the Bryan Adams concert,” he wrote, tagging Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal and the organisers.

The shortage of washrooms at the venue left many attendees in discomfort, but the situation was particularly distressing for Aranjo. Battling long queues, he attempted to find an alternative restroom but was told he couldn’t access certain washrooms because his ticket only granted him entry to specific areas. “I knew I would NEVER be able to hold that long,” he explained in his post, adding that rushing to another part of the venue proved futile.

With no options left, Aranjo eventually had to urinate near some trees after dodging security—but not before soiling his pants. “Finally, I managed to empty and ‘release’ the pressure (but not before soiling my pants!) – pls see pic as proof,” he wrote.

Despite the personal embarrassment, Aranjo said he wasn’t ashamed to share his story. “I am NOT ashamed to say that I am a diabetic with continence issues. You guys should be ashamed for providing ~3 loos / 1000 people.”

Aranjo’s open letter criticised the organisers for failing to cater to basic needs, especially for an event of such magnitude. He also mentioned overhearing similar complaints from other concert-goers, including long wait times for washrooms, poor cashless transaction systems, and overall mismanagement. He also asked the organisers to get their act together before bringing international artists.

Another user wrote, “All I want to say is that they don’t care about us.”
