Delhi Metro driver plays Haryanvi song instead of announcementA video of the incident was posted on Instagram and has been going viral.

In a goof-up in Delhi Metro that left commuters in splits, a Haryanvi song played on the public announcement system instead of the usual instructions that are relayed when a train reaches a station.

A video of the incident was posted on Instagram by a content creator named Amandeep Singh. The clip shows commuters standing near the metro gate and instead of a regular announcement telling people which sides the gates would open, Haryanvi song ‘2 Numbari’ by Manisha Sharma and Masoom Sharma played for a few seconds. The driver then realised his mistake and turned off the song. “Reason why I love Delhi,” says the caption of the video.

In a recent post, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) urged people not to film reels or dance videos while commuting on metro trains.

To add a dash of fun to the post, the DMRC also used wordplay related to the superhit dance number ‘Naatu Naatu’ from the Telugu film ‘RRR’ and wrote, “Dance is fun but Delhi Metro mein Na-Naacho Naacho Naacho”. The witty line was imposed on a picture of actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR doing their signature dance move. Sharing this graphic, the DMRC wrote, “Remember to Respect your passengeRs #DelhiMetro”.
