A video that is now all over social media shows commuters breaking into garba mid-journey, transforming a routine ride into a full-blown celebration.
In the clip, men are seen clapping to traditional beats, twirling, and swaying inside the moving train while others watch with big smiles. Some passengers record the scene on their phones, while a few simply tap their feet and enjoy the moment.

What could have been another cramped commute instead became a burst of Navratri spirit, a reminder of Mumbai’s ability to turn even the busiest spaces into pockets of joy.
Social media has been quick to react. “Gujju & mumbaikar both knows how to enjoy life,” wrote one user. Another commented, “Although we don’t have time still we enjoy it.”
A third quipped, “Mujhe chadne nhi diyaa bola ki jagah nhi hai yaha toh party ho rahi hai (They didn’t let me get on, said there’s no space, but there’s a party going on here).” And, of course, one summed it up with: “It happens only in Mumbai.”

The festive wave isn’t limited to the city’s trains. In Kolkata, a video from Capgemini’s office has gone viral, showing a floor decked out for Durga Puja, complete with music, dancing, and employees letting loose. Some joined the steps, while others captured the celebrations on their phones, proof that India’s festival season finds its way into every corner, from corporate corridors to commuter trains.
