People who have been to Bengaluru know getting to the airport is not a pleasant experience. Located far from the city centre, Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) is notorious for its traffic snarls, often leaving travellers stuck on the road longer than they’re actually in the air. Now, a fresh complaint from a frustrated flyer has reignited online debate about Bengaluru’s transport woes.

X user Disha Saini recently shared a video showing a massive queue at the Uber pickup point outside the airport, claiming she had to “wait more than 2 hours” to get a cab. The clip captures a sea of passengers, all standing with their luggage in what appears to be a never-ending line for rides.

The post has since gone viral, with many users echoing her frustration and saying that the situation at KIA has only grown worse in recent months, both in terms of traffic and ride availability.

A user wrote, “This is one of the reasons I always try to land in the afternoon/evening, so you don’t have to get stuck in the parking lot for 4 hours.” Another user commented, “Bangalore at this point is overrated! Companies should start giving option of WFH so that people can sty in their hometowns and work remotely.”

A third person said, “Its been a while since I took an Uber from Airport. I generally use the Airport Taxi to travel. Bit expensive but less issues.”

A fourth individual shared, “It will always be funny to me that my flight from Mumbai to Bangalore was 2hrs and from BLR airport to City was 4hrs!”
