Pune residents woke up to waterlogged streets on Friday, as the skies opened up in a torrential downpour reminiscent of the monsoon season. Some parts of the city reported flash floods. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) is yet to officially declare the advent of monsoon in the city.

Amid floodwaters and chaos, a rather unusual sight caught the attention of many. A video, now viral on X, showed a man floating on a mattress, navigating a waterlogged road in the city. Wearing a green T-shirt and a pair of shorts, the man, comfortably stretched out on the mattress, can be seen interacting with motorists passing him.

The video shared by @Urmi_ quickly with the caption, “Pune people got no chill? Naah, they got all the chul,” has already gained 47.6K views.

X users lauded his innovative approach to tackle waterlogging. Some marveled at his nonchalant demeanor. Monsoon arrived a day earlier than expected in Maharashtra, catching many off guard. The IMD has forecast that the monsoon is likely to cover the entire state within the next 48 hours, signaling the official arrival of the rainy season.
