A stunning wedding dress that is embroidered with 50,890 crystals has now set a Guinness World Record for the most number of crystals on a bridal outfit. After four months of planning, the dress was unveiled at the Sì Sposaitalia Collezioni fashion show held in Milan on April 14, 2023.
The dress was made by luxury bridal fashion brand Michela Ferriero. The label used Swarovski crystals for their record-breaking dress. It took a team of seamstresses over 200 hours to individually sew the crystals onto the transparent material of the tight-fitted dress.
As per Guinness World Records guidelines, all crystals used for the record attempt must be genuine and commercially available. Additionally, they should have a certificate of quality and authenticity.
On Thursday, the Guinness World Records shared a video of the bejewelled bridal dress as it was worn by model Marche Gelany Cav-alcante at the prestigious bridal show.
