The engagement took place in Paris, with the dreamy Eiffel Tower giving a picture-perfect backdrop. Liu captioned one post simply, “Us forever.” In another heartfelt message, he wrote, “From weekends in Paris, day trips to Palm Springs, long nights on set, afternoons vegging on the couch, and everything in between — I choose you, forever and always (sic).”

Liu and Hsu have been together since late 2022, gradually becoming one of Hollywood’s most admired couples. Though often seen gracing red carpets together — including the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty — they’ve largely kept their relationship low-key.

In a 2023 interview with People, Liu opened up about what made their bond special, saying Hsu made him feel “challenged and loved and cared for.” Speaking to InStyle in March last year, Liu said he doesn’t believe in soulmates. “I think sometimes we forget that we ourselves are changing, evolving beings, and sometimes people grow in different directions no matter how right for each other they were right at a specific moment in time,” he said.
