Pizza Hut in China has introduced a new variety that is creating a stir on social media—a limited-edition pizza with a deep-fried bullfrog topping with parsley.
Sharing an advertisement on X, David Henke, a global food trend expert, wrote. “In case yesterday’s post about Pizza Hut, making tomato wine wasn’t enough, how about their current promotion in China, a pizza topped with whole frog? Would you give this a try? Would you rather see pineapple?”
The viral ad shows a thick-crust pizza with a red sauce spread on it. On top of it lies the deep-fried bullfrog with parsley. The “eyes” of the frog are created with two halves of hard-boiled eggs topped with black olives.

With over 17,000 views, the viral ad has divided the foodies online. While a section of X users were left disgusted, many were intrigued. A user wrote, “I’d try this before having pineapple pizza ever again in my life.” Another user commented, “I’ll stick with the pineapple. Frog legs are delicious, but the whole frog is a bit much for my taste.”
“Wow, where do I order. Looks fab,” a third user wrote. “No way, would rather see pineapple on a pizza than this any day,” another user reacted.
According to South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper, the pizza has been named “Goblin Pizza” and was launched in collaboration with Dungeons and Dragons, the American comedy heist flick.
