‘Afraid to say that…’: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says AI might bring 4-day work weeks
Jensen Huang argued that AI tools have been beneficial in completing time-intensive tasks instantly.

With artificial intelligence (AI) taking over almost every industry, experts and CEOs have been sharing their insights on how the technological storm could possibly bring industrial revolution. Jensen Huang, Nvidia’s chief executive, recently highlighted how AI can bring a global shift to four-day work weeks.
In an interview with Fox Business Network’s The Claman Countdown, Huang emphasised that AI may leave professionals busier than ever. “I have to admit that I’m afraid to say that we are going to be busier in the future than now,” he said.
“Every industrial revolution leads to some change in social behaviour,” he said, adding that “a transition to four-day work weeks” could be one of them.
Commenting on AI’s true power, Huang argued that these tools have been beneficial in completing time-intensive tasks instantly while making space for new ideas and ventures. “Most companies have more ideas than we know what to pursue. And so the more productive we are, the more opportunity we get to pursue new ideas,” he said.
Huang further shared insights on the impact of AI on employment. He acknowledged that while several roles may disappear, AI will also trigger a range of new opportunities reshaped by the technology. “Some jobs will go away,” he said. “Many jobs will be new and invented. But one thing for sure, every job will be changed as a result of AI.” He added that he believes “life quality will get better, of course, over time.”
He also commented on the geopolitical tension of chip exports to China and the Trump administration’s take on licensing. “Having the world build AI on the American tech stack helps America win,” he said.
