The Spider-Man franchise has spawned innumerable iterations of the masked superhero, showing how anyone can be Spider-Man in their own world. Now, a video of a man in a Spider-Man costume dancing to the ‘Hare Krishna Mahamantra’ along with the devotees from ISKCON at New York’s Times Square is going viral.
“Spider-Man joins the fun! Maha Harinam with the Atlanta Sankirtan devotees in Times Square, New York City November 2023,” says the caption of the video posted on Instagram by ATL Sankirtan (@atl_sankirtan).
The clip shows the man dressed as Spider-Man suddenly coming and starting to dance with the men wearing orange and white robes. His arrival enthused the group as they sang and danced to the mantra.

“Spiderman :- way back to godhead,” an Instagram user commented. “SpiderMan – Homecoming !! Peter Prabhu Jai,” said another. “Web-swinging back to Godhead,” wrote a third.
In July, Kiran Pal, a musician and tabla artist, posted a video on Instagram dressed in a Spider-Man costume and playing the tabla. “Spiderman returns…..Playing a great Tirkit Kaidha in Teentaal,” he captioned the clip.
In June, the Mumbai police used a clip from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and pointed out that only two people should travel on a two-wheeler. The police shared a clip that showed Marvel comics villain Spot talking to what appears to be a family of four commuting on one motorbike. Spot addresses the commuters and says, “That’s very dangerous”.
