Coldplay has achieved an incredible milestone with their Music of the Spheres World Tour, selling over 10.3 million tickets. This has earned them the record for the highest attendance in a single tour, surpassing Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. However, Swift’s tour continues to hold the record for the highest-grossing tour with an impressive $2,077,618,725 in revenue.

One of the most iconic moments from Coldplay’s tour took place in Ahmedabad, India, on January 25–26. Over the course of two nights, a massive crowd of more than 2,23,000 fans gathered, making it the largest stadium concert of the 21st century, according to Guinness World Records.

Coldplay’s tour kicked off in March 2022 with a memorable performance in Costa Rica, marking the band’s first time playing there. The excitement didn’t stop there—Hong Kong was next on their list, followed by stops in Seoul and many venues across the United States of America.

In a statement about the tour, Coldplay said, “Playing live and finding connection with people is ultimately why we exist as a band. We’ve been planning this tour for years, and we’re super excited to play songs from across our whole time together.”

The Music of the Spheres album, released in 2021, shot straight to Number 1 on the UK charts in just two weeks, showcasing the band’s immense popularity.

This tour has solidified Coldplay’s legendary status in the live music scene, joining the ranks of record-breaking tours. Notably, Outside Lands set a record in 2019 for the highest-grossing concert, while Bon Jovi’s Circle Tour in 2010 held the record for the most expensive VIP package.

At the moment, Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres tour is the second-highest-grossing of all time, just behind Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. But with shows still lined up until September, there’s a possibility Coldplay could surpass Swift’s $2.08 billion record, potentially claiming the top spot as the highest-grossing tour in music history.
