‘Straight out of Final Destination’: Moving car flips in air after colliding with loose tyre from pickup truck

A hair-raising video of a car crash – in which a driver had a miraculous escape after his moving car flipped in the air – has gone viral on social media. Terming it “the most INSANE” car crash, Twitter user Anoop (@Anoop_Khatra) shared the clip recorded on his Tesla’s dashcam. Shockingly, it was a tyre that ran loose from a pickup truck that caused the accident.

The clip shows a tyre running loose from a pickup truck, rapidly rolling towards a Kia and colliding with it before causing it to flip violently amid moving cars on a multilane road. The impact of the hit causes the car to turn 360 degrees in the air before crashing back down on the road. The hard crash also causes many parts of the car to fall apart. Even after that, the tyre rolls on the road and hits the car.

Anoop, travelling in his Tesla behind the vehicles, witnessed the accident. Sharing this video on March 25, he wrote, “Witnessed and recorded the most INSANE car crash yesterday, you can see Autopilot also swerve and avoid the rouge tire for me $TSLA”.

In another tweet, he mentioned that miraculously the driver of the Kia car only suffered minor injuries. He also wrote, “Been seeing a lot of comments about the truck fleeing but the pickup driver definitely stopped, and even came back running across the free way to check on the Kia driver, they were very sincere and apologetic about everything”.

The clip has gathered over 91,000 likes since being posted. Commenting on it a Twitter user wrote, “Straight out of final destination. Glad they made out safe. Insane.”

Another person remarked, “Never mind Tesla. The KIA is the star of this show. Staying practically intact after that speed of impact as well as preserving the life of it’s passengers – you can’t ask more of a car than that!! My KIA saved me last year. Honestly this brand is SO underrated. They’re robust!”
