6-yr-old Kerala chef wins the world with Puttu on The Ellen Degeneres show

Kicha, who visited the United States for the first time, was ecstatic to be part of the show. In the show the little one cooked Puttu, a traditional Kerala breakfast snack made by steaming rice powder and grated coconut. After tasting it, the American TV personality said that the dish was “very delicious.”

“This kid is a cutie. He showed me how to cook in his puttu kutti [sic],” Ellen posted on Facebook while sharing the video of the episode. The episode aired in the US on Friday.

The little chef came to limelight after Facebook recently acquired the rights for his Mickey Mouse Mango ice-cream video, paying him $2,000. According to a Times of India report, Raj’s mother Ruby said: “It was a huge surprise for us. He is the youngest to sell a video to FB.”

The video shared by Ellen on her Youtube channel on September 23 has raked in over 3 lakh views in less than 24 hours.
