Over the past year, there has been a noteworthy shift in the platform’s most-followed accounts. Notably, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and the owner of Space X, achieved a landmark milestone yesterday, on October 3, becoming the first person on the social media platform X to reach 200 million followers.

It’s also noteworthy to mention, that on Sunday, June 14, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi crossed the 100 million followers mark on X.

This not only establishes him as one of the most followed Indians on the platform but also positions him ahead of numerous renowned public figures and makes him the second-most-followed leader on the platform, trailing only former US President Barack Obama.

His 100 million followers surpass those of leaders such as US President Joe Biden (38.1 million followers), Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed (11.2 million followers),  PM of Canada Justin Trudeau (6.5 million followers), Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni (2.4 million followers), and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (6,433 followers).

Solidifying his position as one of the world’s most popular personalities, this places him alongside notable individuals like Elon Musk, Cristiano Ronaldo, Justin Bieber, and more.
