Google might release the first preview build of Android 15 for developers today, suggests a comment on the Android Open Source Project platform. According to the developer, the first build of Android 15 will be internally known as Android V, which stands for Vanilla Ice Cream. Google is expected to release several builds of Android 15 in the coming months, and the stable build of the same is likely to be made available for customers in the second half of 2024. Like most early builds, the Android 15 preview will be available for developers via eligible Pixel series of smartphones and is likely to be compatible with at least the Tensor-powered Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and the Pixel 8 (review) series of smartphones. The early version of the Android 15 build will be meant for developers, and it will showcase some of the upcoming Android features and underlying changes, helping developers optimize their apps/games for the future generation of the Android OS. As per leaks, Google has been said to have included several new features such as private space, which allows users to hide or lock certain apps. On top of that, Android 15 is also expected to introduce enhanced multitasking capabilities, especially on foldables, including app pairing capability, and Bluetooth pairing is also expected to get a major overhaul. According to Mishal Rehman's post on X, Android 15 is also expected to introduce a "Security State" API, to help increase the security aspect.
