Panasonic P66 Mega’s USP is its 3200mAh battery and support for 21 regional languages

Panasonic has announced the launch of its P66 Mega smartphone in India. The smartphone comes with support for 21 regional languages at a budget price of Rs 7,990.

The Panasonic P66 Mega features a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The handset is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage.

“Digital India is all about bridging the digital divide through technology and connecting people to the digital world in their own language. By deploying a multi-language portfolio in our latest device, Panasonic seeks to connect Indians through smartphone technology to the world of opportunities in mobile banking, online shopping, social networking and virtual entertainment,” said Pankaj Rana, Business Head – Mobility Division, Panasonic India.

On the camera front, the Panasonic P66 Mega sports an 8MP rear camera with flash and 5MP front camera. The smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom icon user interface.

The Panasonic P66 Mega is backed by a generous 3200mAh battery and will only support 3G and 2G networks. The smartphone will be available in electric blue, rose gold and russet brown colour options.
