‘Trinamool more interested in undermining Congress’

"The Trinamool Congress is engaged in a fight with the Congress," Congress MP Adhir said.

Congress strongman and MP Adhir Chowdhury flayed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for clipping departments of two Congress ministers’ portfolios ‘in an undignified way’ and charged Trinamool Congress with undermining his party,a partner in the ruling coalition.

“It is the spontaneous outburst of a minister who has been hurt by the reshuffle of the ministry,” Chowdhury told a TV channel while reacting to Chakraborty’s dramatic reaction to the development.

Chowdhury,an MP from Behrampore in Murshidabad district, said instead of extracting help from the Centre for hastening the state’s development, the Trinamool Congress was busy running down the Congress, which is unfortunate.

“At a time when the state is plagued by financial crisis, price hike, child deaths and farmers’ suicides, the Trinamool Congress is engaged in a fight with the Congress,” he rued.
