No differences with RJD: Paswan

LJP president Ramvilas Paswan has said there were no no differences between his party and the Lalu Prasad-led RJD saying the alliance between the two stands like "a rock."

LJP president Ramvilas Paswan on Tuesday said there were no no differences between his party and the Lalu Prasad-led RJD saying the alliance between the two stands like “a rock.”

“There have been no differences between the two parties and the alliance between LJP and RJD stands like a rock”,Paswan told reporters here.

He ridiculed media speculations over the possibility of break in alliance between the two.

“There is also no problem on the matter related to seat-sharing between the two parties for the assembly elections in Bihar due towards end of this year”,he said.

“Delimitation of costituencies have sparked off such speculations but leaders from both the sides will sit together and try to sort out the problems,if any, which will come in the way of alliance”,he said.

On the possibilities of his going to Rajya Sabha with RJD’s support from Bihar,Paswan said he was offered a Rajya Sabha berth by the Congress from New Delhi and a seat from Uttar Pradesh by Samajwadi Party “but I refused.”

“The RS elections from Bihar are far away… I have not applied my mind”,he said, adding it would not be pertinent at this stage to talk about these issues.
