Akhilesh: Mulayam to take call on joining UPA-II

SP leader Azam Khan said the SP does not take any political decision on statements issued in media.

A DECISION on whether or not the SP should join the UPA would be taken by party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav,Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said today in the wake of senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh’s remarks that he would have no objections to the party joining the government.

“Any decision to join or not to join the UPA government will be taken by Netaji. He is going to Delhi and will decide on the SP stand regarding joining the UPA,” said Akhilesh. “The relationship of the SP with the Congress will be decided by him. The SP had given support to the UPA but did not join the government earlier,” he added.

SP leader Azam Khan said the SP does not take any political decision on statements issued in media. “Whether the SP will join the UPA or not will be a big decision and statements issued on this by the Congress in the media is not a good practice,” he said.
