Raid at RSS HQ
Police recovered a large haul of arms from the RSS central office in Nagpur following a day-long search operation.
It included 41 swords, 74 daggers, 746 lathis, 56 shields and 58 canes. A simultaneous search at another RSS office in the town yielded a country-made pistol, one bayonet and 12 swords, besides several lathis, the report said.
Land prices crash.
The prices of freehold urban plots have crashed in Delhi after the government proposed introducing a ceiling on the holding of vacant urban land. Prices of plots in Greater Kailash II, property dealers said, has crashed by about Rs 50 to 80 per square yard. The market price of land per square yard in the area was Rs 225 until recently.

Forty shopkeepers were arrested in Delhi for not displaying price lists in their shops. Similar arrests were made in Saharanpur and Kurukshetra, the report said.
Coal to cost more
The government increased the price of coal and steel by Rs 17.5 per tonne and Rs 80 per tonne, respectively, to meet the rising cost of production.
