Do premature babies experience pain? Experts have never been sure. Now a new study reported in the Journal of Neuroscience says they do. A team from University College, London, found this after analysing brain scans taken when blood samples were being drawn. They hope the findings will lead to more formal plans for managing pain in premature babies.

People who pinch calories like pennies may be able to prolong their lives by reducing at least some risk factors associated with aging. That8217;s the conclusion of researchers in the CALEIRE trial, who found that overweight people who were on a calorie-restricted diet for six months had significant decline in fasting insulin levels and body temperature, indicating a drop in metabolic rate that could translate into longer lives. Remember, the calories are extremely low8212;about 900 per day.

40 and above: Weight related to Alzheimers8217;

Being overweight in one8217;s early 408217;s increases the risk of Alzheimer8217;s Disease, according to a new research. Though there is a known correlation between Body Mass Index and Alzheimers, this is the first research to examine the effect of regional variation in fat distribution. The study included nearly 9,000 people between 40 and 45 years when they were first examined between 1964 and 1973. In the average follow-up time of 23 years, 221 cases of AD were diagnosed.
