The high-security net thrown around the Capital to keep the Olympic torch away from all kinds of protests not only led to traffic snarls across Delhi but also ended up disrupting some important government meetings. Among these was one to decide whether to allow the country8217;s 800 MPs to sport a red light on their vehicles. The meeting not only coincided with the day of the Olympic torch relay but also with its timing. With most of central Delhi cordoned off, officials hurriedly called up the Ministry of Shipping, Road Transport 038; Highways to inform they would not be able to attend the meeting.
