Aussie athlete tests positive
SYDNEY: An Australian athlete competing in an Olympic sport has tested positive to a banned substance, reports said on Wednesday. An abnormal testosterone-epitestosterone ratio was found in a urine sample, whose name and sport were not revealed. In cases of abnormal testosterone levels, the Australian Sports Drug Agency ASDA must run a series of tests to determine if the hormone levels are naturally occurring. The International Olympic Committee IOC recognises a ratio of more than 6:1 as evidence of doping. AOC secretary-general Craig McLatchey confirmed that ASDA had told him of the latest case.
