The slightly built, 28-year-old Priyanjali Dhanjal worked closely with designer Raghavendra Rathore and Suneet Varma for five years, before coming out with her own label in 2006. Her latest line which was launched at Ogaan on Tuesday mostly has fusion wear in bright shades like sunny yellows and bright oranges. The silhouettes are simple, but each outfit has a lot of surface texturing like layering, patchwork and appliqueacute;s. Dhanjal presently retails out of Kimaya and Ogaan in Delhi, Zoya in Mumbai and Elahe in Ahmedabad. 8220;When you work with two master designers and entrepreneurs you learn so much on the job, that it8217;s difficult to list all of it individually. I thought it would be wise that I do what comes to me naturally, combined with the expertise I learnt from them,8221; says Dhanjal who graduated from the National Institute of Fashion Technology NIFT in 2002 where she won the Best Collection Award for her graduating collection. Dhanjal8217;s next move, of course, is the fashion week. 8220;I have yet to figure out which one,8221; she smiles. There are certainly plenty of options to choose from.
