JOHANNESBURG, November 30: A convicted murderer today told South Africa8217;s Truth Commission how he slit a young woman8217;s throat and stabbed to death a 14-year-old boy on the orders of Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.
Jerry Richardson, a former bodyguard of Madikizela-Mandela, said she had ordered death of 14-year-old teenage activist Stompie Seipei after the boy confessed to quot;selling outquot; four anti-apartheid fighters to police. Richardson, 50, is serving a life sentence for killing Seipei in 1988. Madikizela-Mandela, 63, was convicted in 1991 of kidnapping Seipei, but acquitted of assault. Her six-year sentence was reduced to a fine. Richardson said Seipei had confessed at the Mandela home in the Soweto township near Johannesburg during interrogation about allegations of sexual abuse at a local church.
quot;Mandela hit him in the face with an open hand,quot; said Richardson. quot;She said Stompie must not be left alive.quot;
