The Sena had earlier backed the deal and lampooned the Communists as 8220;red monkeys8221; for their opposition.

8226;SHIROMANI AKALI DAL: With eight Lok Sabha members, the party has decided to support the NDA. 8220;We are a permanent member of the NDA and we will go with their decision on the issue,8221; said party leader and Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal. He, however, added that the SAD would take a final view after a meeting next week.

8226;PEOPLE8217;S DEMOCRATIC PARTY: Although it brought down the Ghulam Nabi Azad government in Jammu 038; Kashmir, the PDP said it would support the ruling UPA in the event of a trust vote in the Lok Sabha. 8220;We are with the secular front UPA. We will not do anything that will bring communal forces to the fore. We will vote for the UPA,8221; said PDP chief and Lok Sabha member Mehbooba Mufti.
