French prisoner killed cellmate,ate his lung

London: In a gruesome incident,a French prisoner allegedly killed his cellmate and then sliced open his chest with a razor blade to remove and eat his heart,a court was told. But,the man allegedly removed the wrong organ and ate his lung by mistake,a media report said. Thirty-nine-year-old Nicolas Cocaign appeared in court in the northern city of Rouen for allegedly killing Thierry Baudry in January 2007 by punching and kicking him,stabbing him with a pair of scissors and suffocating him with a rubbish bag. Cocaign then allegedly sliced open Baudrys chest with a razor blade,removed a rib and pulled out his lung,The Daily Telegraph reported. He is accused of eating part of the lung raw and then frying the rest of it with some onions on a makeshift cooker in the cell in the Rouen prison.

Pak tenth most failed state in the world: Failed State Index

Just three places below Afghanistan,Pakistan has been ranked the tenth most failed state in the 2010 Failed State Index released by Foreign Policy magazine on Monday. The list is topped by Somalia,followed by Zimbabwe,Sudan,and Chad. India is ranked 87 in a list of 177 countries. In Indias immediate neighbourhood,Burma has been placed at 13,Sri Lanka 22 and Nepal 25. China is ranked at 57th place. Norway is ranked at the bottom of the list. Altogether,the top 10 slots have rotated among just 15 unhappy countries in the indexs six years. State failure,it seems,is a chronic condition, the magazine said.
