Dont import wives from India,Pak: Scholar
London: A Glasgow-based Islamic scholar has told young British Muslim grooms with origins in the Indian sub-continent to marry women born in Scotland rather than import wives from India and Pakistan. Parents of Asian children born and brought up in Britain prefer to import wives from India and Pakistan on the assumption that they are better cultured and make better wives. The result is that there are many young Asian women raised in the UK who have been left on the shelf,he said.
In first for Bangladesh,journalist on Everest
DHAKA: A Bangladeshi journalist has scaled the Mount Everest,becoming the first person from the country to conquer the worlds highest peak. Musa Ibrahim has scaled the Mount Everest as the first Bangladeshi, the Daily Star reported. Ibrahim climbed the 8,848-metre-high summit along with 14 Nepalese,six Britons,the Montenegrins,a US national and a Serb.
