Depps girl Vanessa Paradis is face of Chanel

LONDON: French actress Vanessa Paradis,the long-time partner of Hollywood heartthrob Johhny Depp has replaced British popstar Lily Allen as the face of Chanel. The fashion house decided to end their arrangement with Allen,who was the ambassador for the Coco Cocoon bag,because of her wild partying ways. The French actress who has promoted Chanels fragrance for two years is now the face of the house,reported Daily Mail online.

Saudi cleric urges ban on womens sport

RIYADH: A senior cleric has urged the Saudi government to uphold a ban on womens sports in the kingdom in the face of increasing demand to ease the restrictions. Sheik Abdul Karim al-Khudhair said in a statement Sunday that sports are corrupting and satanic for women. Instead,he urged women to stay at home. Al-Khudair is a member of the Council of Senior Scholars,which is in charge of the kingdoms Islamic affairs.
