Yoga dogs become stars of 2010 calendar
London: Dogs in different yoga poses have their day,thanks to a calendar. A golden retriever in a warrior posture and a chihuahua chilling out in the pendant position are among those featured in a new Yoga Dogs 2010 Calendar,which will induce a year of smiles for pet lovers. The calendar hosts a year full of images showing popular dog breeds positioned in classic yoga postures created using computer wizardry by Texan couple Dan and Alejandra Borris.
Archaeologists close to finding Lorcas grave
London: For more than seven decades after his killing,the location of the grave of one of Spains greatest poets,Federico García Lorca,has been the countrys most enduring literary riddle. Now,archaeologists claim to be inching closer to finally solving the mystery surrounding the remains of Lorca who was said to be murdered during Spanish dictator General Francisco Francos rule. Lorca was shot dead along with three other men by gunmen who were said to be loyal to General Franco a month after the start of the Civil War in 1936. His crime was to be homosexual,and to produce work that enraged conservatives. In death,he became a symbol of Francos repression. A team has started digging on an olive tree-covered mountainside near the southern city of Granada hoping to find the final resting place of Lorca and then offer an appropriate resting place for the literary giant. In fact,Lorcas family has now relented and agreed to provide DNA samples to distinguish the poets bones from those of the three other men,The Times reported.

London: Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto has expressed a desire to be adopted by none -other-than Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie. The 25-year-old actress admits she was in awe of the Oscar-winning beauty,who has six children,three of whom are adopted,the first time they met,Female First online reported.
