China evacuated 3.28 lakh people from its southeastern coastal region and sounded the highest alert for approaching Typhoon Fitow. The National Meteorological Centre said the typhoon was expected to make landfall late Saturday or early Sunday somewhere between the regions Zhejiang and Fujian provinces.

Taliban attack kills 3 soldiers in Pakistan

Islamabad: Three Pakistani security personnel were killed and eight others injured today when an IED blast targeted their vehicle in the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The vehicle was targeted near Mirzal checkpost in Bannu district,with the blast killing one soldier on the spot,injuring 10 others. Two security personnel died on the way to hospital.
