Speaker of the Jamp;K Assembly Mohammad Akbar Lone on Monday ruled out any action against opposition Peoples Democratic Party PDP leader Mehooba Mufti for attacking him with a mike.
It was childish on part of Mehbooba Mufti to intentionally attack me with a mike, Lone told The Indian Express. Such an incident has never happened in the Parliamentary history of Jamp;K and the country. But,to be honest,I do not plan any disciplinary action against her. I wont even suspend her.
Lone Refuted PDPs allegation that he was biased,undemocratic and partisan and said he would ensure the House functions smoothly.
Every MLA will be allowed to seek replies from the government in proper way but the MLAs should not disrupt the proceedings of the House. They must maintain the decorum of the House and behave decently while participating in Legislative business, the speaker said. Nobody will be allowed to dishonour the House through indecent behaviour, Lone warned.
