Unwell Shiney in custody till July 16

The Andheri Metropolitan Magistrate8217;s Court on Thursday sent Bollywood actor Shiney Ahuja,charged with raping his domestic help,to judicial custody till July 16.

The 35- year old actor,who was arrested on June 15,informed the court that he was not keeping well but was still appearing in court to remain updated on the progress of his case. 8220;I am unwell,but I felt I should appear in person before the court. I want to know how my case is developing,8221; Ahuja said.

His bail application,filed in the sessions court last week,will come up for hearing on Friday.

So far the reports of DNA and other forensic tests have gone against Ahuja,confirming that he had sexually assaulted the girl,the police say.
