Actors are often considered superheroes because of the actions they are able to pull off on the big screen. One of Bollywood’s most physically proficient actors is Tiger Shroff, but it seems that the shredded Tiger isn’t completely invincible. In a recent interview, the actor revealed that he is afraid of flying and that the thought of taking a flight keeps him anxious for days before the actual travelling. He also talked about his need for working out and movement, something he clearly isn’t afraid of.

While talking to THR, Tiger was asked about how he has often talked about his fear of needles and his inability to stay in large hotel rooms. He added another fear to the list and said, “Recently I have developed this fear of flying. I was on a very turbulent flight a couple of years back, and since then I have developed aerophobia. What’s weird is that you can ask me to do the most difficult stunt — ask me to jump off the roof of Grand Hyatt into the swimming pool. I can do that without thinking. But 10 days prior to a flight, my heart starts skipping a beat. Your mind starts playing games with you.”

He continued, “I channelise that through my physicality and my physical expression. That’s therapy for me. My trainers have had to stop me and hold me back from not going to the gym or just doing something. Even though the rest is essential for growth, I can’t relate to that. I think it’s a psychological thing, like I start thinking that my muscles are disappearing or that I am not progressing.”

When asked to comment on his own filmography, Tiger said, “It’s joyful to look back at movies like a member of the audience, but when I think about what I put myself through, especially at a time where there is so much technology available. All of my films have been gruelling experiences, and the action sequences always have to be better than the last time.”

However, Tiger did say that gruelling experiences are what he is the most comfortable with. He mentioned that movement of any kind puts him at ease, and that is the reason he isn’t afraid of performing a stunt. “Sometimes my body double will look at me and ask, ‘Sir, are you sure you want to do this?’ I feel bad because I am kind of doing his job, but I still make sure that he gets paid for that, even if I am doing the stunts. But I get a kick out of doing all that because I grew up watching Jackie Chan films. In that (stunts) there is no fear,” said Tiger.

He was last seen in Baaghi 4, which had been directed by Harsha. The cast also included Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, and Saurabh Sachdeva.
