The science-fiction saga is set in a computer-generated world. A sequel to the 1980s cult film Tron,the film has been shot completely in 3-D. The story is based on a son’s search for his long-lost father. Sam Flynn,the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn,looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into a world of fierce programmes and games where his father has been living for 20 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant,father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a cyber-universe.

Director Joseph Kosinski says: Part of the budget for the film went towards the cutting-edge technology that allowed Jeff Bridges to play his character Kevin Flynn,and a digital avatar Clu 2.0,which resembles Flynn as he was in his mid- ’30s. For a moment,you buy this thing as a real character (Clu 2.0),which to me is very exciting.

The Buzz

The film was shot in 64 days. But,the post-production work took 68 weeks due to the special effects.
