Testing times for Arjun tank

THE beleaguered Arjun tank is once again in the news,this time with the Defence Ministrys production department claiming that the Army Chief has written a letter praising the Arjun and saying that the tank has passed the most stringent of tests. The Army has denied sending any such letter,saying that a selective part of the conversation with the Army Chief is being planted in an attempt to hardsell the tank. Clearly,another round of tussle is set to unfold as the Army is standing its ground that the tank is behind time,unreliable and does not fully meet its requirements.
