Mohit Suri recalls shooting the sensuous Haal-e-dil number for Murder 2 in picturesque Goa.
Mohit Suri shot the track Haal-e-dil for Murder 2 in Goa over six days. The scene started with Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez frolicking on the beaches, walking through the towns flea-market and ending in a steamy love-making sequence inside a car parked on the streets.
The most difficult part of shooting on beaches is that the water washes off the make-up,so we had to try and finish the shoot quickly. While shooting the first part of Haal-e-dil on Calangute beach, every time we thought we got a perfect shot, the wind or the water would play spoilsport and we had to re-shoot. It was only after about three hours that we captured the scene effectively, says Suri.
Since the Saturday night flea-market makes for a colourful backdrop,it was selected for the second part of the song. Initially we thought that we would recreate the market on the sets, but it would not have been like the real thing. So we shot on a Sunday night, when the market is shut to the public. We managed to capture the colourful lights, vibrant background and the glitter, adds the director. The song ends with a night scene wherein the couple is seen making out inside a car, which happens to be one of the boldest scenes in the film. Making love on the bed is very common,so I shot the actors making love in a car. It looks sensuous on screen but by the end of the shoot,Emraan and Jacqueline were irritated because it was really hot and uncomfortable in the vehicle, smiles Suri.
