Six schoolgirls booked for abetting suicide

The city police on Wednesday booked six students of G T Sheth Girls High School for abetting suicide of their hostel mate,Dhara Makwana 17.

The city police on Wednesday booked six students of G T Sheth Girls High School for abetting suicide of their hostel mate,Dhara Makwana 17. Dhara,a Class XII Arts student,had hanged herself in her hostel room on Tuesday.

In a three-page suicide note,she had accused six students of taunting her,which drove her to suicide.

Based on a complaint filed by Mansukh Makwana,Dharas father,a case of abetment of suicide has been lodged, said a division police inspector and investigating officer S P Kahor.

Dhara,from Muli in Surendranagar,had mentioned in the note that her hostel mates taunted her about making one girl her sister. I did not make her my sister, she wrote,adding the girl will not feel ashamed of anything as her suicide would prove that they were not wrong.
