Simbu in Nelson’s Vettai Mannan

Simbu's next film Vaanam may be released in November followed by Poda Podi that will hit the screens on Valentine’s Day next year.

After the stupendous success of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaya that was released early this year,ardent fans of Silambarasan aka Simbu are now eagerly awaiting their favourite actor’s forthcoming films. His next film Vaanam may be released in November followed by Poda Podi that will hit the screens on Valentine’s Day next year. Valiban is queued up for a Diwali release next year.

The actor has reportedly signed another mega-budget film that will have a Summer 2011 release. Titled Vettai Mannan,the movie will be directed by a debutant,Nelson. Simbu will play a gangster in the film that will also star Jai of Subrahmaniyapuram fame in a key role. There will be three heroines,who are yet to be finalised.

Vettai Mannan,which will be shot extensively in the United States,Mexico and Chennai,will feature music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The actor revealed all these details on popular micro-blogging site Twitter.

Thilakan’s key role in Oru Perunaal Raavil

Veteran actor Thilakan is on a roll. His latest film Yakshiyum Njaanum,directed by Vinayan,is still doing its rounds at theatres. His next film Achchan,directed by Ali Akbar,may hit screens later this month. It may be recalled that the shooting for Achchan was disrupted when people,who were up in arms against Thilakan,damaged the set.

Thilakan is now all set to play a key role in Oru Perunaal Raavil,that will be directed by debutant Vijay. The film,which will have K.R.Vijaya playing Thilakan’s wife,will narrate the story of an old couple destined to live a life of loneliness though they have many children and grandchildren.

It will be produced by Prasad Panicker under the banner of Victory Films International. In the meantime,efforts are on to release Chungakkarum Veshyakalum,which has Thilakan in the lead role and has been shot entirely in Canada.
