Sanjay Dutt has patched up with his sisters Priya Dutt and Namrata Kumar after he recently organised a birthday bash for his brother-in-law.

Sanjay Dutt has patched up with his sisters Priya Dutt and Namrata Kumar after he recently organised a birthday bash for his brother-in-law,Owen Roncon,Priya’s husband.

Apart from Owen’s birthday,they celebrated Eid and Ganapati together. The sisters even attended Sanjay’s wife Maanyata’s baby shower. Matters had soured between Dutt and his sisters after his wedding as well as leanings towards a political party.

In a twist

Newly-wed Manisha Koirala,who was in Nepal for teej,a traditional festival,slipped and twisted her ankle. She has been advised bed-rest.

Servants arrested for theft

Soukhi Yadav and Ashok Yadav,who stole money while working as domestic help at the Mumbai residence of Raveena Tandon,were arrested from Tiladih village in Jharkhand on September 16 after a raid by Bandra police station. Rs 3.21 lakh were seized from their possession.

The actress had filed an FIR with the Bandra police station on August 30 for theft of Rs 9 lakh from her residence.

Lending support

Rahul Bose visited the affected areas of Leh as the ambassador of Oxfam India to oversee relief work being carried out by the NGO and lent his support to the people in the flood-hit Himalayan region. He visited some villages and interacted with the dislocated people and children.

The flashfloods had washed away government offices,paramilitary camps and homes. At least 183 people,including 35 army men,were killed in the natural disaster.

In trouble

The Bombay High Court has refused to stay the criminal proceedings against Mallika Sherawat in a Nagpur court pertaining to alleged obscenity by her actions in films.

Sherawat had moved the court seeking a stay on criminal case filed against her by a social worker. The actress also prayed for quashing an arrest warrant issued by a court in Yavatmal against her for not appearing in the case. Hearing Sherawat’s plea,Justice Pramod Kode of the Nagpur Bench of High Court recently issued notices to the state government and Rajnikant Borile who had filed the complaint against her.
