Shivarajkumar to play JAMES BOND

It was in 1978 that Operation Diamond Rocket,starring Dr. Rajkumar in the lead role and directed by Dhorai Bhagawan,was released. Dr.Rajkumar had played the role of James Bond in the movie. Now,over three decades later,Shivarajkumar,Dr.Rajkumars son and popular Kannada actor himself,is all set to play a similar role,in the film titled Operation Golden Gang.
In fact,Dhorai Bhagawan himself had announced,years ago,a film named Operation Golden Gang with Dr. Rajkumar as the hero,but that didnt happen. And now,with the same title and story,Operation Golden Gang is finally going to happen. This was announced recently,on the 49th birthday of the actor,on July 12. Operation Golden Gang will be produced by Basava Reddy,but the director is yet to be fixed.
Its learnt that the film will have a stylish look with shooting being done abroad,in Hong Kong,Bangkok and with international stunt directors. Nikki Das of Mandahasa fame will be the heroine.
Operation Golden Gang will start rolling only in 2011 as Shivarajkumar is currently busy with other assignments .
Meanwhile,Shivarajakumars 99th film Mylari is facing trouble as the film is caught in an issue related to its title. Another producer Ashwini Ramprasad is stating that he has already registered the title earlier. He also states that the film with the title Mylari will start rolling soon under his banner as the story is ready.
Ashwini Ramaprasad has reportedly made his complaint with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce. So,it will only be after the issue is solved that Shivarajakumar can get to release the movie,with the same title or new one. Directed by Chandru of Taj Mahal fame and produced by K.P.Srikanth,Mylari has Shivarajakumar and Sada in lead roles.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday conducted searches at 10 premises associated with the election management company I-PAC in Kolkata and Delhi. The company, founded by election-strategist-turned-politician Prashant Kishor, is currently managing election campaigns of the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress. West Bengal will go to elections this year.
