Sensex recovers 473 points

After a bloodbath in the last several days,bulls returned with a bang on Tuesday. Dalal Street snapped its 4-day losing streak and shot up 472.93 points to 16,524.03 its third biggest single-day gain this fiscal on value buying amid a surge in global markets and reports that the government plans to cut securities transaction tax. Investors wealth,or market capitalisation rose by Rs 1,30,000 crore to Rs 60.25 lakh crore as all the 13 sectoral indices closed in the green. The 50-issue NSE Nifty index gained 135.85 points to 4,971.25.
