LONDON: The leader of Britains opposition Conservative Party said hell invite citizens to take over underperforming public services or fire miscreant lawmakers in an election manifesto that urges the British people to play an unprecedented role in the government. David Cameron in his partys manifesto plans to let voters veto unwarranted rises in local taxes. Britons must stop asking Who will fix this? and start asking What can I do? Polish President,wife to be buried on Sunday

WARSAW: A Polish official said President Lech Kaczynski and his wife will be buried Sunday in Krakows Wawel Cathedral,the resting place of the past presidents and kings. Kaczynski and his wife,Maria,were among 96 people killed Saturday in a plane crash in western Russia. Meanwhile,the body of Polish First Lady Maria Kaczynska was returned from Russia on Tuesday as Parliament prepared to hold a special observance in memory of the president and others killed in the crash. Thailand vows to hunt terrorists after killings

BANGKOK: Thailand said it would hunt down terrorists it blames for the countrys worst violence in 18 years in which 21 people were killed. A Thai red shirt protest leader threatened a mass march on Army barracks where Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has been based. Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thuagsuban ordered the police to hunt for terrorists the government blames for the killings in Bangkoks old quarter which came after a month of generally festive protests. We cant let terrorists walk freely, he said. We have enough evidence from still pictures and video footage that we can identify those carrying M-16 or AK-47 rifles. REUTERS

Kyrgyz leader says hell go if safety is guaranteed

TEYIT: Kyrgyzstans ousted president said on Tuesday he is willing to resign if his security is guaranteed. Kurmanbek Bakiyev,who fled the capital amid bloody protests last week,made the statement hours after holding a rally with about 5,000 supporters that seemed aimed at gauging his ability to resist the self-declared provisional government. Later,at a news conference In his home village of Teyit,he said,I will go into retirement if security is guaranteed for me and my relatives. AP
