Promotion boards cleared

Clearing the logjam that had held up promotions of several officers over a new promotion policy suggested by the Army,the defence ministry has given the go-ahead for promotion boards of Major General and Brigadiers,pending for over four months. While the new policy that provided for discretionary marks by senior officers in the evaluation has not been cleared by the ministry,it has given the go-ahead for all Brigadier-level officers cleared for a promotion.
