‘Plot to kill Indian author hatched in Pakistan’

Four persons arrested Wednesday revealed three militants from the Pakistani Taliban were involved.

A week after Indian author Sushmita Banerjee was killed in Afghanistan,Afghan authorities have told the Indian embassy in Kabul that the plot was hatched in Pakistan,and the Pakistani Taliban,Afghan Taliban and Haqqani network were involved.

Sources said the four persons arrested Wednesday revealed three militants from the Pakistani Taliban were involved. “The plan was made in Pakistan and they worked with Akbar Musafir,the local commander of Afghan Taliban in Paktika,where it is also part of the Haqqani network,” said government sources. Earlier,two Haqqani network militants were arrested.
