COMEDK UGET 2026 Exam Date: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will conduct the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET 2026) on May 9. The Consortium will release the calendar of events and the information brochure, along with the eligibility criteria, next. Candidates wishing to appear for the COMEDK UGET for engineering exam are advised to keep checking the official website – comedk.org.

COMEDK has traditionally held its entrance examination on the second Sunday of May each year. However, the schedule has been revised for 2026 due to a clash with other national-level examinations.

“Since its inception, COMEDK has been conducting its entrance test on the second Sunday of May every year. But because of a conflict of date with other national level examination, the schedule had to be altered, and UGET – 2026 will be conducted on Saturday, the 9th May 2026,” the Consortium said while announcing the exam date.

The computer-based test will be conducted in multiple centres across the country, allowing candidates to appear closer to their homes and reducing travel-related costs and logistical challenges.

COMEDK has observed that despite repeated advisories, some candidates continue to rely on third parties such as internet cafés, education consultants, and unauthorised websites for COMEDK-related activities. These include submitting applications, downloading Test Admission Tickets (TATs) or rank cards, participating in counselling through choice filling, and making fee payments. COMEDK strongly cautions candidates and their parents or guardians against engaging with such intermediaries, as doing so could compromise personal information, expose sensitive data to misuse, and potentially lead to financial losses.

Going by past year trends, the COMEDK UGET will be held for a duration of three hours with a total of 180 questions for one mark each. The paper will be divided into three sections – maths, physics and chemistry. The COMEDK UGET exam pattern is different for engineering and medical courses.
