Not proper to ask PM to quit,no corruption: Mulayam

It will not be proper to seek resignation of the PM.

Playing down the SC verdict setting aside the appointment of CVC by a high-powered committee comprising PM,Home Minister and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha,Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Thursday defended the PM. While the entire Opposition tried to corner the PM over the verdict,Mulayam said it was a case of wrong decision and not that of corruption and it would be better if PM cleared the air surrounding the appointment of P J Thomas as CVC.

It is a case of wrong decision. There is no case of corruption in appointment of CVC of the PM, Mulayam told The Indian Express. It will not be proper to seek resignation of the PM.

Samajwadi Party, which is the third largest party in the Lok Sabha and supports the UPA government from outside, had joined the Opposition ranks last winter session and stalled Parliament demanding a JPC probe into 2G spectrum allocation issue.
